Niels Westra
Niels Westra, Creative DirectorNiels studied Communication in Eindhoven. In 1997 he graduated, after an internship with DSDS in Amsterdam, which later merged with Ogilvy & Mather.
During that internship serendipity shined upon him as he met Jakko Achterberg. They’ve been together ever since.
After a year at Bates/Not Just Film, working on UPC, in 2001 they joined PMS/Y&R, where they worked on the Amstel Friends campaign, as well as KPN, Hi and Holland Casino Eredivisie.
In 2004, they moved to DDB and produced 4 years of great work for clients such as Lotto, Eneco, Centraal Beheer, BCC and Volkswagen, which was just about enough to become Creative Directors at Selmore.
